Good morning All! What are your plans for the day?

I'm just finishing my first coffee of the day. I'm sitting in my spot, at the kitchen table, with the window open, listening to the birds & the hum of the freezer. I'll go and get dressed soon but I'm rather enjoying the quiet atm.

My plan for the day is to tackle some washing & shove the hoover round upstairs. It's raining at the mo though & I wanted to wash towels <sigh>

I want to tidy up my Rainbows and Guides things, too, and check I have everything ready for Tuesday evening - if I get to it, I'll prep some resources for later on in term, too, so there's less to do then.

Dd1 has revision to do, and maths homework. Dd2 has almost finished all her homework so when she has she'll probably come & sit with me for a while - I'm hoping she'll start painting the tubes I want to turn into a beanstalk.

There's a pork joint in the slow cooker for tea, we'll probably have it as a roast. And then the girls want to try making ice cream mochi for afters. We found a tiny Asian supermarket in town yesterday & bought all sorts of goodies to cook/experiment with.

Tonight I'll start my new book, I think, rather than mindlessly scroll 🤷‍♀️Although sometimes 'over there' is just tooooo far to reach for it 🤣 Both girls have new books too, so I expect they'll chill with them at some point.

What about all of you? 🙂

DS was 18 last week and we've had a manic few days with DM visiting (he's her only DGC and they are close) a house party, which went without a hitch, and a night out clubbing for the first time which necessitated a 4am pick up (another benefit of rural life!)

So I'm still in bed, but about to venture out and get ready as DH and I are going out with a group of friends to a different village <quivers> This also necessitates military planning of taxis and timings, but I am so grateful we are now able to do this after so long in lockdown.

I'll cook a roast beforehand which will hopefully lure DS out of his bed 😆

Day two of gardening; started yesterday so it's at the stage where it looks terrible before getting better (much like doing a proper clear out of clothes or toys).

DH has been muttering about taking the DC somewhere for a day out but as he's just pulled a blanket over him whilst reclining on the sofa it looks like he's gearing up for a nap rather than getting everyone out of the house!

Been awake since 8 and downstairs.

Been listening to podcasts while I've cleaned up the downstairs ,second load of washing on, about to put hoover round downstairs and have a shower.

Dh came down for five mins and gone bak to bed grumpy night worker and dc have been down to raid the fridge and have disappeared bak upstairs.
One is watching films and the other is pootling through a new bag of clothes.

I'm enjoying the peace and podcasts before a few hours of work this afternoon.

Good morning all!

I'm currently under a massive, heavy, sherpa fleece blanket with a sleeping cat either side of me taking advantage of the blanket.

The only things I 'need' to do today are plant up two window boxes (which can wait), and feed us. So hopefully read the papers, with 6 music on, followed by a film at some point. Window boxes can wait.

At some point I will need to piss the cats off by moving to make bacon butties with lashings of HP sauce.

Miserable day here, dark and wet and chilly. But yesterday was busy and I had a really crappy night's sleep, so a sofa day isn't unwelcome.

Morning all! Love hearing about what everyone is up to. We had an unexpectedly late night last night - we went up to the football club for a drink and met some friends so we didn't get home until 1am.

DH was up and out by 10 as he's gone to the football in London with his dad.

I was up at 6 with the dog but came back to bed after he'd had his breakfast and a run around the garden. I'm still here Blush DS2 slept until 11am and is lying next to me watching YouTube. DS1 is in his room playing Minecraft. I've had a cup of tea and now really need to get up and showered.

Need to pop to Tesco for some bread and then to my parents later. A lazy day all round here! Chicken curry for dinner and then an early night. I cannot do late nights any more!

Coffee, yogurt and almond croissant in front on Sunday Brunch on TV, then I need to go and make some batter for Yorkshire puddings for dinner later. I'm going to grill a slab of skirt steak so Yorkshires, red cabbage salad and gravy seem like a plan. No work tomorrow so I may open a bottle of fizz this evening too 🙌
