One off scenario - not a drinker. peer pressure and underestimated intake - extremely drunk, vomiting and totally unable to walk.
Do you take home or go via hospital to get checked out?

Oh gosh, work night out recently, 16 year old drank way too much., ended up in hospital, over night. Just obs, no active treatment. I’d say, trust your instincts, at the time, we felt she needed to be seen for reassurance that not spiked etc. you’ll know if it’s worrying. Young colleague was non responsive, we were really concerned.

Took my ds to hospital to be checked as read about alcohol poisoning etc and he kept being sick, this was just a couple of weeks ago

Also not a drinker normally and underestimated how strong spirits are

Ah poor him, we’ve all been there!

I wouldn’t go to hospital. I’d take him home, fluids, painkillers, bacon sandwich and a coke in the morning. Chat about why it’s not a great idea but I’m sure he will come to that conclusion himself!

@worriedatthistime - did the hospital raise a safeguarding issue?
