Pre-op assessment 3 months next week

I had a pre op assessment on 7 Feb for a gynae op. They said it was valid for 3 months and I should be called back for the operation within that time.
Looks like it will go over that date. Would it be worth ringing the gynae secretaries to see if I can get any sort of idea of timescales? Or just sit and wait for a letter?

I had my pre op on the 7th January, was told it was valid for a year. Rang secretary in March, I had been waiting 53 weeks, they were seeing patients who had waited 90+ weeks at that time. I was told not to book a holiday - as they might speed up!!! Waiting for a hysterectomy and was told on a list of 1 being urgent and 10 not urgent. I was a 4. Fortunately I’m not in pain. Ring the secretary, then you might have more idea.
