Risk from old lead paint when drilling holes in wall?

Having some work done on our flat, which is rented so not our decision. Didn't really think much of it until my wife commented that there could be lead paint several layers down (old house) and now I'm wondering how much we should be concerned?

It will surely be in the dust generated from the drilling? We are just two adults, no children (who I know are much more vulnerable to lead).

You can get lead test kits quite cheaply. I've got to admit, I'm sure there's lead in my house, and I never worry about the odd tiny bit of DIY. I would mask up etc. if I were doing a bigger job, but probably not to drill a couple of holes.

My house is really old and I've drilled loads of it over the years. It's never crossed my mind
