Over the last few years I have seen a bewildering amount of things on FB market place. Please share your local "finds"

Today I came across a corner sofa for £250

What am I missing? It's not my style of sofa so am unlikely to pay £250 for it, but it may be someone's cup of tea, I'm not what is so noteworthy about it?

CuriousCatfish · 30/04/2022 15:13

Why is it grim? Looks ok to me.

BertieBotts · 30/04/2022 15:13

It's hard to see beause MN makes the pictures miniscule but it's covered in watermarks 🤢

Unfortunately I'm not sure this thread will work until they fix the pictures issue.

Ohh… I see the stains now. When I first looked at the photo I thought it was just velvety material with a napp.

MissNothing1991 · 30/04/2022 15:15

Presumably, the person buying would steam it or have it professionally cleaned anyway? It's a very reasonable price, probably for that reason.

Must be great to be perfect.

I thought you were going to be referencing the very grubby/broken items that I often see advertised on Facebook. My SIL has the sofa you attached a photo of and it’s very comfortable, (although not to my taste either).

RightOnTheEdge · 30/04/2022 15:16

If you zoom in I think its covered in stains.

Fizzbo · 30/04/2022 15:17

Oh….and now I’ve just looked closer and seen the stained cushions! I take your point OP.

You can't see the stains?

Playplayaway · 30/04/2022 15:20

It is very stained. Looks like milk or something..

Even if the covers can be cleaned, whatever substance it is will be deep into the foam 🤢

£250 is too much. I've seen similarly used items for free.

A perfume bottle covered in glitter for £15

Classy 😄

It's not glitter, it's "crushed diamond" 😉
