On the bra theme, is there such a thing as a bra that doesn't get sweaty?

I don't need a huge amount of support but have put on weight since babies and am a bit old to get away with the Charlie Dimmock look really. But I loathe bras because of how sweaty and uncomfortable they get.

Is there a material that I should be looking out for or avoiding or something? I am currently wearing Primark stretchy bras but they are awfully sweat wicking.

I like Icebreaker merino bras. Not much support but comfortable AF.

In the summer I quite often wear Uniqlo cotton bra tops, this sort of thing. They come with a built-in soft bra with shaped cups. The support isn't as good as an underwired bra but it doesn't seem to pool the sweat the way that a very fitted bra does.

I don’t think the bra is the problem, it’s an under boob problem... well it is for me, I have fairly biggish so my underboob is always sweating no matter what bras I use.

I have never had a sweaty bra. Do you mean a sports bra for running in?

BertieBotts · 30/04/2022 05:58

No, just for living normal life in. I seem to sweat very easily, especially around the underboob and breastbone. If a t-shirt gets sweaty then it just dries but the bras I have stay damp for the whole day and it's really uncomfortable.

I will look at those Uniqlo tops, they sound good.

Sports bras would be good too as they are breathable but they do reduce and change your shape.

Sports bras are what you need!
