Can you still get contactless cards? I had a Thomas cook one but it's no longer in existence. Any suggestions

I'm going to Amsterdam soon and have been looking at the Post Office card.

RainingYetAgain · 28/04/2022 20:41

CAxton Fx are contactless I think.

We’ve had the Post Office one for about three years, it’s very straightforward and easy to top up.
Would recommend .

We have the Post Office card too. It's free and very flexible.

Have used it on 2 holidays abroad within the last 2 years. It only didn't work once in a metro station. Other times it needed the full PIN rather than just tapping in using contactless.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/04/2022 20:56

Does it have an app to check balance?

I use revolut card. Theres an app, you top up in pounds and it gives a really good conversion rate. It's contactless too.

We have used it for 5 years in Europe and USA.

Yes. You download it on your phone. It shows all your transactions quite quickly afterwards and lets you top up with different currencies too.

I have Wise card. It shows all purchases pretty much in real time.

KatharinaRosalie · 28/04/2022 21:47

this one wise.com/gb/card/

Sexnotgender · 28/04/2022 21:48

Use revolut, they’re excellent.

theemmadilemma · 28/04/2022 21:49

Another vote for revolute.

OverByYer · 28/04/2022 21:50

Revolut!

soupey1 · 28/04/2022 21:58

We use FairFx and have always found it worked reliably in Europe and North America.

Figmentofimagination · 28/04/2022 22:00

I use caxton. Can load money onto through the app, and can review my transactions and balance on the app as well.

Aimee1987 · 28/04/2022 22:00

I second revolut.
