Does anyone report positive lateral flow tests any more?

Dh was feeling a bit rough today so tested with one of the old tests we have hanging around and it’s positive.
Is there any point in him reporting this on the gov website? Are you still able to do this and do track and trace still get involved? I have read, on here, that it doesn’t appear on your records/nhs covid pass so what’s the point?

I wouldn't bother, just carry on as normal if he feels well enough, isolate if you really want to.

I've tested positive on LFT this week and I haven't bothered reporting it. I am self isolating though. I don't want to pass it on.

I would definitely report it. Otherwise the government stats are even less accurate. I did it recently and it appeared on my nhs record.

I reported mine 2 weeks ago. You get a text and email confirmation but noone cares where you've been or who you've seen now - so no test & trace. Vastly different from when I had it last Dec!

Toponeniceon · 28/04/2022 20:54

Where do you report it? I couldn't find it!

Toponeniceon · 28/04/2022 20:56

Just found it! I blame my covid brain.

LightandFruity · 28/04/2022 20:56

Thank you. I’ll tell him and see if he can be arsed to report it. He is isolating as he doesn’t want to pass it on to anyone even though his work say he can go in if he feels ok.

I'm testing twice a week for week, and logging all the negative tests as well.

My dd tested positive last month. No, I didn’t bother with recording the result. No point really.

Primrosefields · 29/04/2022 14:16

I logged my positive 3 weeks ago. Track and trace called a few days later

It's useful to have no his records if he want to travel in the near future
