Can anyone help me translate my eye prescription please?

Just been for an eye test. I could swear the Optician said I should get two pairs of single vision glasses - one for distance, one for intermediate. She 100% said she wouldn't bother with reading glasses or with bifocals/varifocals (yet). It's the intermediate vision I really want to get sorted.

I've brought my prescription away to get cheaper glasses online.

My prescription has entries in the Distance section (fine), nothing in the Intermediate section (?) and entries in the Near (Add) section. I also have some info under the Aided VA bit.

A quick google says the Near bit is (only?) used when ordering bifocals/ varifocals.

So, I'm at a loss as to which bits to use on the prescription when ordering - just Distance, or Distance and Near?

I would just call them and ask them so that you know they've not made an error in their form and ask for clarification.

Otherwise perhaps upload a photo here but tbh I would still call and check, just to make sure what's been given to you is correct.

Optometrist here - I’d pop in and double check with them. It will all be written on your record card.
