Alexa has gone bonkers and I'm missing Pop Master!

Alexa is working but suddenly wants to send a link to my phone to enable BBC radio 2- no idea why. It said my app needed updating, it didn't according to everything I checked. I uninstalled it and re installed it and it's STILL saying it can't link up as the Alexa app needs updating. I listen to radio 2 every day so no idea what's happened.

I AM MISSING POP MASTER NOW FFS 😭

Not very helpful but Alexa was working for me yesterday and I was listening to radio 2. Maybe switch it all off and start again? Or bin it and get a Google home?

I can’t get radio 2 either!! I’ve tried everything! Can’t get any bbc stations. Grrr.

Try asking Alexa to open bbc sounds and then open radio 2 from there

My SONOS did the same thing this week - it’s the BBC not Alexa I think? They’ve changed the way they stream. If you google it there’s instructions for resetting.

It wouldn’t let me listen until I linked my bbc account with Alexa last week

my Alexa kept saying I needed to link my bbc account to Alexa to continue listening to bbc stations. I ignored it for about a year. Then she kept warning I had to do it by April I think.
linked the account and all good. So maybe try that.

Seems like there's a glitch from the BBC then🙄

I've tried all of the suggestions and still nothing. It just keeps saying I need to link them but then won't let me. I'll keep trying. Thanks anyway ☺️

Yesterday for the first time, I managed to listen to all of Popmaster and I scored 30 on the second set of questions!

It's not often that I get a high score so I am doubly delighted that 1) I don't have an Alexa and might have missed my triumph and 2) My memory is not as bad as I thought it was. 😆

Ask Alexa to play radio 2, she says she's sent you a link (or else she did with me) open the Alexa app on a phone/iPad (might have to download it) will instruct you to link your bbc account with a click link, takes you to bbc where you just confirm postcode/tv licence >lie< then I think you're sorted.

That's my issue- she says she can't as my Alexa app needs updating (it doesn't) or just says it can't as it's not supported. Hugely frustrating!

Ds says I should apply but quite often I get zero ,there doesn't seem to be a middle ground ,all or nothing!

When I go to the Alexa app and go to links,there isn't a BBC option,there's everything but!
