Brioche buns with salami inside

A yogurt

Fruit sticks, like cut apple, pineapple, slices of kiwi

Cherry tomatoes and cucumber

A banana Soreen bar

Yes that sounds lovely.

BackToWhereItAllBegan · 28/04/2022 00:28

Sounds delicious!

Feckingfeck · 28/04/2022 00:29

Is the yoghurt plain or flavored?

Could cut out some calories with as different bread and filling choice but in all sounds delicious 😋

Yes sounds great

It’s okay, but there’s a lot of sugar and processed fats in brioche, and salami is very salty and processed and v high in nitrites. So I would probably swap the brioche for a roll with ham or ham and cheese if they like it. DD loves brioche and would eat it all day if she could, but it’s v sweet and the supermarket ones are very processed, so we do rolls for lunch if she’s having a sandwich lunch.

DD normally has either one or two rolls with ham, ham and cheese or egg (depending on the size of the rolls); occasionally a bagel instead of a roll. Or she has a pasta salad with grated cheese. Then, like you have, a pot of cherry tomatoes and something like cucumber, carrot sticks and olives; a yoghurt; and a pot of fruit.

I’d probably do either a yoghurt or the Soreen bar, but it depends on how much your DC normally eats.

DD has recently decided she won’t eat anything with non-sustainable palm oil after a school assembly about it, which conveniently means pretty much no shop bought cakes or biscuits! 🤣🤦‍♀️(good for me, sad for DD, sucks to be DD, but them’s the price you pay for principles🤣)

Usually it's peach or strawberry flavoured

For you or a child? I would probably give ham or cheese to a child instead of salami.

Camomila · 28/04/2022 07:58

Sounds delicious, DS1 would love that.

Salami's not the healthiest but it's nice to have a break from ham or cheese everyday.

30not13 · 28/04/2022 07:59

Sounds awfully sweet to me

PinkSyCo · 28/04/2022 08:04

Sounds nice but maybe a bit sugary. What’s wrong with a normal bread roll?

Starlightstarbright1 · 28/04/2022 08:05

Who for adult ,child ? How old?

Generally fine though. You can.make it healthier but it isn't a bad lunch

StrangeCondition · 28/04/2022 08:08

I'd eat it happily

RiverSkater · 28/04/2022 08:49

Three puddings so no! Does sound nice. I like salami in a brioche!

ODFOx · 28/04/2022 08:57

Lots of sweet things in there but kids need carbs and as long as they are looking after their teeth it's fine. I'd be tempted to add a cube of cheese to eat at the end just to help offset the acid in the mouth caused by the sugar.
Otherwise a tasty mix. You can change up the sandwich for different breads and fillings from day to day for variety, but the dairy, fruit and veg look nice.
