Sometimes wonder if DD has ADHD

I know this isn't the most appropriate place to ask this question but I sometimes wonder if my DD has ADHD or a similar disorder. I have never mentioned it to a health professional as one I'm not sure if they will think I'm being ridiculous or two if I am right I'm not sure what the benefit would be as it doesn't really affect her day to day. I have thought about it more since I have heard that girls show different traits to what is expected and that it can often be missed in them.
Examples I can think of include

  • She makes a really strange loud humming noise not all the time but often when excited.
  • Her attention span isn't the best. She is 5 and has never watched a film.
  • Poor sleep
  • -Very sensitive to anything bad happening e.g in a age appropriate cartoon if a character gets scared she gets really upset and wants to turn it off.
-constantly interrupting me when reading a book asking questions when I'm trying to read it to her.

These are just some examples I can think of right now. On the other hand her school have never showed any concern and she can focus on some tasks well like doing crafts which she is obsessed with.

I suppose I just wondered for those whose daughter have been diagnosed. What signs did they show?

Could be flags. Best to get gp referral if you want to suss it out as the wait list for diagnosis is long in lots of parts of the country at the moment

The strong concentration on own agenda can be hyper focus which can be part of adhd

There’s inattentive and attentive adhd, which are quite different
