Something like a rom com, but with an edge? Nothing I have to think about!

Big Little Lies was brilliant
Bridgerton is silly escapism but fun

pizzaand · 27/04/2022 21:34

Greys anatomy- loads of shagging and a small amount of medicine

mast0650 · 27/04/2022 21:34

Sex education?

Imabouttoexplode · 27/04/2022 21:34

Him and Her.
Catastrophe.
Schitts Creek (a slow burner but worth sticking with)

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 27/04/2022 21:35

Detectorists is absolutely brilliant.

amicissimma · 27/04/2022 21:49

Downton Abbey all the way through. Each time I watch it Maggie Smith gets even better.

Love Sex Education and Catastrophe.

Always fancied giving Greys Anatomy a go. Is it too old to go back to the start?

Loved Big Little Lies (book better) and Detectorists. You've all got very good taste!

Flowers (Olivia colman and Julian Barratt of might boosh). Found this on netflix yesterday. I am sofa bound with broken leg so looking for easy watches too. It was funny and moving and not run-of-mill, glossy shite. Really lovely - watched all episodes in one go last night

Toponeniceone · 27/04/2022 22:30

@Imabouttoexplode Schitts Creek, tell me more. Everyone says it's slow, but how slow?? I'm sure I tried 3 or 4 episodes and gave up, but I know it's supposed to be so good.

Oh yeah, you have to keep going waaaay longer than that! It only gets going about half way through the whole thing and then it's fantastic. You then go and re-watch the first few episodes, as you want to watch it again once you've fallen in love with the characters!!

Imabouttoexplode · 27/04/2022 22:41

Have you seen Him and Her? I've just binge watched it for the 2nd time! It's awful but just so good! It's Russel Howard's sister, although I'm sure she's thrilled by being defined only by her sibling!!

Lovesick which is now on Netflix, a definite romcom series with an edge. Johnny Flynn's character gets an STI so has to track down his previous partners. When it was first on it was called Scrotal Recall 🤑 which makes it sound really dodgy but it is actually a lot of fun.

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 27/04/2022 23:24

The Split on BBC iPlayer. Loved it

RaininginDarling · 28/04/2022 00:55

Love Life is now on Netflix. Trying and Ted Lasso on Apple (also: Severance, okay not romantic but insanely good), Upload, Mrs Maisel and Hacks on Amazon. Ten Percent starts tomorrow on Amazon which is the remake of Call My Agent (Netflix).

Toponeniceon · 29/04/2022 12:50

Loved Heartstopper!! Watched it yesterday.
