If the calories are roughly the same does the amount of fat matter ?

Ok I have two snacks ..

Veg crisps 100g
Calories 461
Fat 31.7

Compared to

Breadsticks 100g
Calories 412
Fat 7.7g

And I know 100g of veg crisps is nearly a whole big sharing bag, but I very much doubt anyone eats 1/5 of a bag so I imagine I'm going to have at least half a bag so roughly 60g ... and around half a pack of mini breadsticks as a box is 100g

Do I need to worry about the fat or should I be not thinking calories and more carbohydrates levels ( which this is going to be high carb on both these options.)

Which one are you going to enjoy the most? As in, which one will you eat, feel satisfied and not look for the other snack afterwards? Pick that one.

Calories aren't the same, they are going in but your body uses calories to digest your food and fat calories only use someonething like 4 cals to digest whereas protein is much more. You need good fat so don't let that put you off oils and Avocados.

The human body has evolved to deal with fat. Carbs, however, can really mess with your blood sugar levels. The obesity epidemic started in the 1980s when Western goverments were persuaded to put out fat-bad-carbs-good health propaganda.

The fat will make you feel fuller longer

Fat is supposed to make you feel fuller for longer, so less likely to tiptoe back half an hour later for the rest of the pack of crisps though I can’t leave an opened packet

I'd say no it doesn't matter - and go for the veg crisps as they're a bit more interesting than bread sticks and likely to have fewer carbs.

Bread sticks are boring and I would be looking for some guacamole or hummous in which to dip!
