Trying to work out my pay in my head (tight month - cost of living is flooring me).
Before April I was paid £8.80 an hour. Then and extra 10% is paid on top of that as an unsociable hours bonus.
Will I get paid the new NMW + 10%. Or does the 10% make up the shortfall and therefore my hourly pay will stay at £8.80 rather than £9.50.
Collleagues on newer contracts are paid £9.80 an hour, rather than £8.80 + 10%. Only me and a couple of others are on the older contract.
And as we’re not paid the 10% if we’re on annual leave, will I get £9.50 for my annual leave hours? Or will that stay as £8.80 because they’re not actual ‘working’ hours?
Am feeling a bit stressed and confused.
I’ll get a payslip later this evening but I want to work it out beforehand so there’s no horrible surprises.
