Geographic tongue - anyone suffer from this?

I was told by an oral surgeon, around 20 years ago that my sore and patchy tongue was a condition called Geographic Tongue.
I’m now 49 and over the years it’s come and gone but in general has not given me too many issues since the first diagnosis.
However the last few months it’s flared up for some reason and is really quite sore especially if I consume anything overly sweet or with vinegar in.
I don’t know if I’m lacking in something like B vitamins or if it’s because I’m Perimenopausal but it’s starting to get on my nerves. I can go a week where it completely goes but then comes back.
I have a GP appointment but my surgery is still only seeing people via telephone which is annoying.
Does anyone else have this? Do you get flare ups and do you know what makes it worse?

I have one but it doesn't generally cause me any trouble.

I am on 3 monthly B12 injections and it used to get sore when one was due but I now buy B12 abroad and inject more regularly and have no trouble. Although the condition is still there
