How much chocolate do you eat?

opalescent · 26/04/2022 20:53

I'm obsessed. More so before my period, but every day really.
I have chocolate daily, every evening. I bloody adore it. I don't eat huge quantities at a time- a family sized bar would last me up to a week.
Over Easter I had a crème egg every night for six nights in a row.
I eat otherwise very healthily and take good care of my teeth.

Should I just enjoy my chocolate habit, or am I eating too much?

Thanks all 😂 🍫

If it's there I will eat so I don't buy it much. I've been making chia seed pudding with chocolate oat milk which is nice.

Greyingmumto3 · 27/04/2022 18:39

I very rarely buy it for myself but will scoff the lot if bought some . Prefer a darker chocolate too though since most chocolate now tastes oily ( probably done me a favour )
Also love Lindt and haribo and I’ve just finished off a pack of tuc cheese sandwich biscuits

Lbnc2021 · 27/04/2022 18:42

Every day. Even now when I’m on a cut for bodybuilding competitions. Before my cut I would eat a large bar every day and chocolate biscuits. Just now I just have a small Freddo or a chomp bar. Cannot wait til next week when I can eat myself into a chocolate coma 🥰

Maybe 2 or 3 squares once a month. Diabetes runs in my family too. I just dont have it in the house. Easier that way.

thistimelastweek · 27/04/2022 18:47

Chocolate? I can take it or leave it.
I sneer at those who are slave to the cocoa bean.

But I do have a serious wine gum habit.

Thetoasterhasbroken · 27/04/2022 18:49

My life would be very dull without the pure pleasure of chocolate. I eat it every day, any kind, I’m not fussy but I have to have my fix. And 3 packets of crisps a day too (my other addiction) 😳

Skinterior · 27/04/2022 18:57

I've never said no to a bar presented to me. I've never managed to buy a tank of petrol without adding a bar.

Otherwise I'm not too bad.

saturdayhelicopter · 27/04/2022 18:59

Depends. On a cravy day a bar of Lindt extra fine 100g. On a non cravy day a twix.

I'm very into chocolate with crunchy bits in it - see previous obsessions with Cadburys Mint Crisp, Nestle Crisp, florentines etc, malteaser bars. All so moreish so best to avoid.

TheSillyMastiff · 27/04/2022 19:05

I can go weeks without chocolate, only realised now that I thought about it. I'm not a huge chocolate lovers though, never have been.

Don't ask about my custard cream and tea habit though 😂 I have however in recent years curbed it to 3 custard creams and a cup of tea for supper. Genuinely used to demolish a packet with a cuppa in days gone by lol.

KohlaParasaurus · 27/04/2022 19:13

Around 50g most days. High cocoa content milk chocolate without goo or shrapnel in it for preference.

MrsJBaptiste · 27/04/2022 20:43

Really not bothered about chocolate.

But sweets... 🍬🍬🍬 and tea & biscuits... 🍪🍪🍪 well that's anything thing!

Nosetickle · 27/04/2022 21:08

Just reading this thread is like getting a chocolate fix! I am wondering if the idea of eating chocolate is perhaps actually better than the eating of it. Certainly less guilt.

@KohlaParasaurus can you recommend a brand of high cocoa content milk chocolate that is nice? It sounds nice and I’d like to try it.

idril · 27/04/2022 21:18

I love chocolate and I can't do moderation. But I can abstain for a limited amount of time. So I only eat chocolate on Fri, Sat and Sunday. But I eat a lot on those days. It also sometimes creeps into Thursday but I usually don't eat tonnes on Thursday.

My current favourite is Tony's Chocolonely 42% dark milk (there's a version that's just chocolate without bits of pretzel in it) and I also like Hotel Chocolat Supermilk (65% cocoa). They're a world apart from the dark milk offerings from Cadbury's and Galaxy, although those sometimes jump into my shopping basket too.

Perfectlystill · 27/04/2022 21:26

Twice a day every day

Perfectlystill · 27/04/2022 21:38

Tony's Choc is filthy stuff!

If you want decent milk chocolate get this stuff, it's so good: cocoarunners.com/shop/original-beans-femme-de-virunga/

Kezzie200 · 27/04/2022 21:46

Too much.

I don't now have any puddings, so chocolate sort of replaces that (calorie wise, timings different)

I also buy really good quality chocolate, so I can't afford too much of it!

Jmaho · 27/04/2022 21:54

Too much here too. It's my vice. I don't drink alcohol much apart from on holiday
Can take or leave Crisps and takeaways but absolutely adore chocolate. Any kind. Love the stuff

ISpyCobraKai · 27/04/2022 21:56

Very little, the occasional chocolate muffin or something but I don't have a sweet tooth.
I'm all about the cheese!

Anystarinthesky · 27/04/2022 22:06

I have one or two kit-kats per day.

I can't buy any chocolate bars etc as I will eat the whole lot the same day.

Peppapig7262662 · 27/04/2022 22:10

Too much.

Tonight was really bad: 2 creme eggs, large bag milkybar buttons and a bag of twirl bites.

It's my krytonite.

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 27/04/2022 22:25

Not a fan at all but do enjoy a Galaxy ripple out of the fridge.
More of a savoury snacker

tuliplover · 27/04/2022 22:30

Either none at all or too much. I try not to have it in the house.

Notwithittoday · 27/04/2022 22:32

At the moment im on about two Easter eggs a day. It’s quite bad

AdriftAbroad1 · 27/04/2022 22:39

None, ever. I love alcohol though. Each to their own!
