Has anyone been to the o2 recently? Can't bring bags in?

I'm going tonight to a concert and can't make out their bag policy. Can I bring a handbag in? It's going on about clear A4 sized bags or something. Has anyone been to a show there?

I have been recently, its the bag that has to be A4 size or take the clear plastic option. I took a small handbag and had no issues at all.

The policy is pretty clear (no pun intended).

It’s better for everyone if you do not bring a bag at all. If you do need to bring a bag, the following are permitted:
A4 size clear bag for contact free searching (35cm x 40cm x 19cm)
A5 size non-clear bag for manual searching (15cm x 21cm x 5cm)
We do not allow large bags into the venue. If you do need to bring a large bag with you , you can leave it at our bag storage facility just outside the main entrance to The O2 at a cost of £10 per bag. All bags will be screened before being accepted into the bag storage facility.

Yep was there a couple of weeks ago. Had a normal, small handbag. TBH I don't even remember it being checked!

Grin It confused the hell out of me! I thought everyone would be going in clutching punched pockets with their phones and keys in!

Thanks all. I'll leave the overnight backpack at home then!
