I am really struggling

I've recently posted about my awful experience with my thyroid. Basically my GP ignored all and every symptom I had for months until I had a thyroid storm and was in the cardiac icu for a week.

I'm home now, on anti thyroid medication, and beta blockers for my heart. I'm on a massive amount of medication. I'm hopefully seeing another gp tomorrow to discuss my tremors I'm
Having because of the thyroid levels.

I'm really struggling physically, Im so weak, my leg muscles are just ridiculous now. I squatted down to get something out of a low cupboard yesterday and I couldn't get up without using my arms to pull myself up!

Anyway my dr is happy to sign me off for as long as I need. However work are being so off with me about my absence.

I'm a nurse and I'm being harassed it feels like to pick up shifts and come back to help the ward because we're so short.

Honestly I'm so worried about it but there is no chance I can drive let alone work a 13 hour day.

Honestly, this isn't your responsibility. Work will have to suck it up and deal with it. You can't put your health at risk. For once, you come first. Work are legally not permitted to harass you whilst you're off sick, so ensure they can't access you other than the bare minimum.

I’d recommend contacting occupational health asap, they are generally great at getting your manager to back off in this sort of situation, and in arranging phased return to work once you feel better so you don’t end up crashing and burning out on return.

Who's putting pressure on you at work? Speak to HR and occupational health.

Thanks! I think I was a bit ridiculous at 3 am but I'm going to tell her that I genuinely can't do anything
