Moving house to new area before the council tax rebate comes through?

Does anyone know what will happen in this scenario?

We currently live in council A, who are planning to credit residents with the council tax rebate in August.

However, we are going to move house to council B, in June. Council B are going to pay their residents the rebate in April/May.

I know it's only £150 but it rankles that it looks like we will fall between the cracks. Anyone else?!

The eligibility is being resident on 1 April 2022. So the fact you moved after that date, still means YOU are the people to get it not the resident in August.

You'd also be due a rebate if paying monthly anyway (most council tax is paid in 10 instalments not 12), so on that basis I'd simply write to the council and advise that you have moved from (address) on (date) and that you will expect a rebate of a) the balance of tax paid up front on the date you moved and b) the government rebate of £150, and that it can be paid directly to your bank account bank, sort code, account number and name in which it is held.

Excellent, thank you!
