Is this enough for 50th birthday?

My partner of 8 years turns 50 this year. I’ve booked us a weekend away by train within the UK. Tickets for a gin and whisky distillery tour and tasting, comedy club tickets and tickets to another arty event in the city. There’ll be plenty of time to wander round and enjoy the city too. I’ll book nice restaurants for both nights though he will probably insist on paying for those. Does that seem like a decent present? He doesn’t want anything in particular and doesn’t like getting stuff just for the sake of it.

it sounds lovely.
my 50th was during lockdown, was barely mentioned, and remains uncelebrated! I’d love what you are planning.

Of course it's enough!
A nice meal out would be enough in our household.
In fact a nice takeaway would be enough.

Sounds perfect, he's a lucky man!

Its a very generous 'gift'.
It sounds lovely.

Sounds really lovely. Throw in a BJ if you’re feeling generous

It's my husband's 50th soon too. He doesn't want any 'stuff' so I've done similar to you - a weekend away, an experience activity he'd like to try, and some meals out. I might get him a very small keepsake from our kids as well, and will cook him his favourite dinner.

Thanks everyone. I didn’t mean to be insensitive, I realise we are lucky to be able to afford this.
