Lonely - please can I have a hello

I’m WFH at the moment- at least a few weeks and the maybe one day a week in the office. Live on my own. Just started for the day, have a meeting later so can’t start detailed work. Even then will have the loneliness in the background. Went out and had a coffee before work, hasn’t helped.

I saw people at the weekend but am not good at friendship (autism with no help available) in last job was hybrid in 3 days. Now but possible unless I disclose how I feel. (Job change due to Tupe).

Hello all. Sorry to hear some of you are lonely as well. To answer a few questions
day went better as it got busier. I’m always tired by the end of the day.

i was diagnosed with autism as an adult and there is no support here. I could go private but can’t actually find anyone that could help. Autism services are very limited for everyone particularly adults. Unless you need support to do really basic functions there is nothing locally (even then I know families have to push for provision.)

I may ask about going into the office a day a week. All this is very new for my employer, just beginning to go back on every other week rota. We don’t actually need to go to in for work now as no direct service face to face whereas other parts of the service will. I’ll need to change jobs to be in more than about once a week.

I appreciate that wfh has opened work for many people who would have found things harder in the past whether due to disability, caring responsibilities etc.

I’m not sure how many employers are looking at MH of employees who coped well working in an office and may not have adapted.
