Do I have to do anything to microwave

Before using it? Or can I just use it right away
it doesn’t say anything in the instruction manual but I don’t know if I should clean it or rub it empty or something before first use?

Run it empty not rub it!

I'd give it a wash out first, just in case.

It should be good to go I don't think you need to wash it out.

I got a new one recently. I just plugged it in and used it. You could wipe it out with a damp cloth if you want to, but I didn't bother.

If it was important it would say in the instruction manual.

Don't run it on empty, it can damage it. At most I'd give it a quick wipe with a damp cloth.

The Google says you can run it with a bowl/jug of water for a minute then wipe it out, I've never washed new microwaves😕
