Do you vote differently in Local Elections to General Elections?

I do and have for years. One party is really good at a local level but I'd never put them in charge of the country.

Yes, I do.

Yes, I vote for whoever it most likely to push out the SNP!

Of course. However, there are still issues which are so egregious I would rule out an entire party for.

Yes, I tend to go for the person in the local election, but the party in the general.

I was just listening to a news report saying the local elections will give us a good indication as to who would win a General election. It has ever been the way that the encumbent government polls badly in mid term local elections and I was just wondering how many of us plan to vote differently in the LE/GE. A lot of us, by the look of it.

Yes. First time ever I'll vote for Plaid Cymru in local elections but I'd never vote for them in a general election because I see it as a waste of a vote and only vote for parties that are represented throughout the UK.

You can make broad assumptions though. The trends still work.

You ignore the Green Party who always do better in the locals. But the broad trend for Labour and Conservative will be reflected in the General.

I only vote for councillors who live in the ward they are representing. So that normally discounts quite a few and then I look at their policies for the ward and area. However, we are not voting this time, last time I had 3 votes but only 2 hit my criteria so only cast 2 votes.
