Hi,
I'm planning on taking my parents and children to Hampton Court Flower Festival,
We've never been and I want to make sure I make it a lovely day for them, its to celebrate my parents retiring.
1, what is the benefit of going on a members only day? I am an RHS member (thank you Tesco points) is it a bit quieter on these days? I know it's more expensive and just trying to work out what's the point really.
2, What should we wear? Is it vaguely formal like Chelsea or just anything goes? I know it's huge and so comfy shoes are a must.
3, Would I be allowed to bring a festival cart to drag my kids about in?

Thank you for your help,
:)

I’ve been to both Chelsea and HC, and would prefer HC any day. There is so much more space - Chelsea can feel so heavingly overcrowded - and the HC weather is likely to be better. Last time I went to Chelsea - taking a friend who’d never been - it was cold and wet with hardly anywhere to eat under cover - we left early.

I’m sure you can wear whatever you like at HC. Some people will dress up a bit, garden party style, but the majority will be in smart-ish casual.

I don’t know about festival carts, but given that there is plenty of space I wouldn’t have thought it’d be a problem - but I’d try to check.

I know this was posted a while ago, but can I just check about the dress code. Would shorts, T shirt and trainers be well out of place? What would you recommend clothes wise? Thank you.
