How long for recruiter to get back to you?

Once they’ve sent your CV to prospective employers? I hate my job and am desperate to leave. I spoke to a recruiter on Wednesday who passed my CV to several companies. If anyone was interested would I have heard back by now? 😣

IME recruiters either ignore you or deluge you with calls. But if you only handed in your CV on Wednesday it may well not have gone anywhere yet, let alone been looked at. So far too early to hear back IMO.

They rang me almost as soon as I sent my CV in so I was really hopeful. The silence since has made me think it isn't going anywhere though and I don't really know what to do with my disappointment. 😭

You're expecting a response far too quickly. Loads of people are off this week due to Easter break. Great that you've got some recruiters working for you, but many are just sending speculative CVs to employers. Employers would prefer not to have to pay a fee so get onto LinkedIn and start marketing yourself.

Yes I think I’m just so desperate to change jobs. Because I live somewhere very remote as well it really limits me to WFH jobs and that worries me too.
