Tell me I'll be OK by the weekend

I was fine yesterday.

Started with repeated sneezing c. 9pm last night and at 4am woke with a horrendous headache and pain in my legs. Sweating and shivering. Still feel like that now, although paracetamol has eased it a bit, I haven't even managed to drag myself into the shower, which is unheard of for me. LFT negative.

I have a really fun weekend planned. This is a 48 hour thing...right?

LFT may be negative, but that does sound very much like how I was with covid. Took 5 days to get a positive.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had that last weekend. It took the full 4 day weekend to recover. Sorry OP.

It wasn’t Covid. Just a heavy cold with lots of sneezing, chills and sweating.

Well I went. I was OK until about 3pm then spent the rest of the day waiting until I could go home and sleep. I got home about 11:30.

I did go for the run this morning too. I'm still full of cold, runny nose etc but I don't feel anything like as ill.

I would keep testing for COVID (if you can afford to 😑) as it can take a few days to show up.

My extended family did all catch a horrible cold after dinner together last week, and we all tested for a few days to be totally sure but it wasn't COVID< or what you had. Just a very snotty cold with sore throat. So there are other things around, but I would test for COVID over a few days to be sure given PCRs are no longer an option.
