I've been in an overcrowded living situation for years.

Someone is looking to downsize their housing association property and they want the area I'm in (relatives live only round the corner from us).

She is coming next week and I'm frantically painting everything white, ordered a new carpet for hall and am hiring a skip to clear the garden.

I know that's alot but it all needs doing anyways and I want to try and make the house as appealing as possible!

If she agrees to swap my kids will go from all being in one room to having a room each! (the lady is a former Foster carer who no longer has alot of children)

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but the more I look at the photos the more it looks like home :(

I've had so mu h bad luck the last few years. I must be due some good!

In your situation I would ask on your looking facebook group if there's anyone who can come and give you a hand - there's often tradies who are happy to volunteer in situations like this (as long as you are happy for them to post on social media that they've done it).

It's a small house but she keeps saying she wants small!

My sister swapped her tiny flat for a 3 bedroom house years ago so I know it's possible and it does happen for people but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

My kids dad is helping so we should be able to get it done ourselves :)

Make sure you dust all the ceiling light fittings - can really make a difference to the lighting in some rooms!

Skip is 3/4 full.
Backgarden is transformed (scrap metal had a field day)
Bathroom is painted.
Carpetman is coming Monday to measure.

Still need to tidy DS's rooms. Paint hall and stairs and sort area near back door which has b one the dumping ground.

She comes on Friday and everything is still a tip.

Completely revamped bathroom, new flooring and everything.

Going to have to leave hall/stairs as just haven't got the time but hoping she can see the potential and I'll point out that I'm happy to redecorate still.

I'm really trying not to get my hopes up but found out that her door number is my lucky number 😫
