Genius or over-complicated? Slicing pepper with scissors

I've just watched a cooking video where a bell pepper was sliced using scissors.
How do you slice pepper? Knife here. Do I need to branch out a bit?

I cut a lot of food with scissors but whats the point with a pepper? Surely you have the knife out anyway as you'd need to cut it in half at least first?

No knife used. Some weird magic to pull the core out, then ripped the pepper in half!

I slice everything using scissors. Best things are pizza, bacon and chicken breast / thighs

I would only use scissors if I didn’t want to dirty a chopping board. For example if I only wanted a little bit and it wasn’t worth dirtying a chopping board for. If I was using a chopping board for the meal anyway then I’d just chop everything on it.

I also use scissors to 'chop' chicken breasts etc, but not for a pepper. I think I would be much quicker with a knife - you can trim out the seeds and things as you go like that too.

I'm guessing it's not weird magic, but simply pushing it in then pulling it out? Easiest way to do it!
