Greetings MNers! I need your help again please.
About a week ago, I was in a shop (can't remember which one but nothing dodgy) and wanted to take a pic of a product they were selling. I tried to load the camera app on my Samsung Galaxy S20+ and a pop-up came on screen saying something about not being able to use the camera due to security reasons. I tried again and the same thing happened. I rebooted my phone and the camera then worked fine. I thought it was very strange but didn't think too much into it until the exact same thing happened again a couple of days later. This time I was in our bedroom at home trying to take a photo of a dress to stick on Vinted. Again, same message. The message appeared on screen for 2 ish seconds then vanished, closing the camera app automatically at the same time.
Another reboot. Camera working okay but made a mental note to Google for a cause/solution. Then something else happened. I glanced at my screen two days ago (from the lock screen) and I had a notification. It said something about a data breech (I think!) but I didn't get chance to read it before the screen went dark as my phone went back to 'sleep'. I pressed the power button to turn the back-light on and the message was still there. It looked like a Samsung notification and not, say, an article from an app like Sky News. I went to unlock my phone to look at it properly (I wasn't going to click on it I'm case it contained a virus) and the notification vanished. I hadn't opened it or swiped it to the side to hide it.
I'm absolutely perplexed. I haven't been on any unknown or dodgy websites that I know of. I only ever video call my parents and I haven't had any strange emails or notifications which may have contained a virus, to my knowledge.
I'm mystified. Has anyone else had this or do you know what might be going on? I'm worried that my phone may have been hacked somehow.
