Just found out my DS has a GF

15 (almost 16) never shown an interest in girls, never mentioned anyone.

Just found out he has a girlfriend of a YEAR!
All very innocent, not met outside of school yet but chat alot online and spend breaks and lunch together at school.

Am just a bit shook that I had no idea at all! He says he doesn't know why he never mentioned her!

He of course was never under any obligation to do so, he is entitled to privacy but I thought I knew my kids pretty well. What else do I not know about with my other kids?

Just read this back and it reads like I'm moaning that he didn't tell me, not the case, I was just shocked as he was asked if he has a girlfriend and I would have bet my last pound he would have said no!

Aww is he shy generally? He may have not known how to tell you.

Yea, he is a shy soul so I can see how it may be difficult for him to bring it up.

And I never asked because there wasn't any indication that he was in a relationship.

I never used to like talking to my parents about who I was going out with either. It's obviously not too serious if they've never met up outside of school, so I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it.
