WTF are the browser adverts?

I usually use MN on my phone app, I'm waiting for a train and have no power in phone so using the laptop. WTF are teh adverts that take over the whole page? Does it happen to everyone or just me? It makes it totally unusable.

Yes they're very intrusive. I know MN is a business but I think this type of advertising is horrible.

I've had it for the first time today. The north face ad. Getting really pissed off with it as I can't read most OP's. Think i'll be logging off mumsnet for the day!
