"Safari quit unexpectedly" message, what to do?

Hi, I keep getting the "Safari quit unexpectedly" message every time I click on the Safari icon and I can't get on the internet.

My Mac has the automatic software update option on, so I should be fine on that front. I've restarted the computer a couple of times and cleared the caches.

What else can I do about it?

I’d check the software has definitely updated and manually do it if not, I had this problem over the past few days and the only thing to fix it was the software update.

It might be that! I'll have a go.
