Top tips please, we have mice in the garage

I’ve been telling dh for months we need to tidy the garage. It’s full of his junk that he won’t part with. This junk has quite literally done a round the world trip with us. The garage overwhelms me. Our utility room leads into the garage and that is back door exit so I can’t avoid it. Last night, dd found a mouse. There’s probably more as there is food in the garage, something I’ve also asked dh to get rid of. DH is emptying the garage today to look for a nest. What are your top tips please? Also, please no horror stories Grin

Lots of mouse traps, use chocolate not cheese. Remove any food. You may find a nest but if there isnt one it doesn't mean you have solved the problem they will just live somewhere else but be visiting you for food. There will definitely be more than one. Good luck.

Leave the outside doors open. Get dh to use a big stick to whack everything and make lots of shouty noise. Do this several 58mescan hour, all day. It might not work but at least you will have fun watching him Grin

Don't bother with humane traps.
Peanut butter is good to tempt them onto the traps.
