Pushchair or carrycot

UK holiday, have a cosatto giggle 2 pushchair and dilemma as to whether to take the carrycot with us.

Dh will be fishing/golfing for a few hours and 11week baby, dog and I will be nearby in the vicinity or tag along. think cafes and footpath walks, may be out and about for hours. Should I use the carrycot instead of pushchair. (Will also take sling as well)

Dilemma being that Baby is bit nosy, hates carrycot but was ok for a 20 min stroll in the pushchair function which also reclines to almost flat (just her back wouldn't be completely flat) or is it completely negligent of me to not have her in lie flat position as under 6 months?

As it's a holiday for a few days and we are travelling by car, I don't want to. Try ram both carrycot and pushchair in the car as dog in boot with half the fishing , golf gear and other baby related things in the rear and front passenger seats, plus massive Joie carseat

I'd take it if you could especially if its rated for overnight sleeping but not all carrycots are.

What will your baby sleep in? The carrycot could be useful for sleeping instead of a travel cot. By 11 weeks I was using my Maclaren buggy when going away as by the time we had bags of clothing, food, nappies, steriliser & bouncy chair our car boot was full to bursting.

Airbnb place has said that they will set up a cot for us in the property.

The pushchair has a very cosy footmuff and a recline function and baby enjoys being in it but it's not lie flat Vs The carrycot has a less cosy cover and is lie flat and we'll likely be out walking about city /countryside for hours whilst DH is fishing or golfing. (I'll be either in the cafe or bench nearby).

I'm inclined to just go with the pushchair function but I'm scared it's going to hinder the baby as only 11/12 weeks and the general advice is lie flat for longer periods. Also the carrycot takes alot of space in the car

The car does not sound at all safe packed like that- in an accident any one of those things will become a missile. Have you considered a roof box? Then you could take the carrycot more easily.

Baby should be in carrycot/ lie flat position until it can fully support its own head. If the stroller isn't lie flat it increases pressure on the baby's neck.

Op I think you should priorities the carrycot over either the golf clubs or the fishing.
Is there a good reason why your partner has to take both?
