I know exactly how they feel, i lost my baby boy 3 years ago and the pain will never go away. Money makes not a jot of difference when this happens to a parent.

As someone who experienced this, it is beyond heartbreaking. My thoughts are with them.

It being the last thing on her mind doesn’t make it ok

I lost a baby at birth, and there is nothing to prepare you for the level of horror and grief. I made a friend through SANDS who had lost one of a twin at birth, and her story made me distraught. Every christmas, every birthday, every milestone was a reminder of what they'd lost too.

I feel desperately sad for them both tonight and hope they are surrounded by love and kindness.

Ridiculous. Discussing kindly on a forum that Cristiano/Georgina are never going to read is not invading privacy. And I say this as a mother who didn’t get to bring her baby boy home from the hospital.

My heart aches for that family tonight.

It’s awful news. And no doubt it will be terrible for the girl when she is of an age to realise that she lost her twin brother.

I don't follow football, so only the vaguest idea who he is. But regardless, my sympathies are with him and his wife and their families tonight. So sad.

Aw god that is so sad. RIP little baby. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and this makes me want to cry. We lost one of our twins but very early (8weeks) so not the same at all, I can't imagine how horrible this would be

Thoughts also with those from whom the news has caused them painful memories as well.

We need to talk about this though, it shouldn't just be ignored.

Poor family. I hope they’re given the space they need to grieve and I hope their baby girl is healthy. What a horrible situation - almost worse as it’s twins, there must be an element of trying to grieve while also trying to welcome/get to know your new baby too. Hope they have all their family around them.
