How’s Your Bank Holiday shaping up so far?

I’m really not sure where the time has gone! DH & I were going to go out for a pub lunch but DD13 is out with friends & isn’t sure what time she’ll need collecting so we’re going later in the week instead. I have cleaned the kitchen & DH pulled out the sofas so I could sweep behind them ( he swept up the piles with a dustpan & brush as I am suffering with leg pain). Before anyone says he should do it all, he has been brilliant & done lots more than usual despite working full time. No idea what we’re having for tea. Might do what I’d planned for tomorrow ( kievs, jacket spuds & broccoli). Doing several loads of washing so they will need pegging out. The clouds have cleared. It’s not brilliant sunshine but at least it’s dry & there’s a bit of blue sky.

In bed recovering from bad illness. Dd is doing the washing up (which may need slyly redoing later). Feel like death warmed up.

Piece if absolute shit. Wish I was dead.

Surprisingly good.

Life recently has been shit: lots and lots of illness and stress. Plus juggling work and DC and an imminent overseas move. This was our last weekend with DH before he moves abroad (we'll join him in 3 months).

We went to a theme park and it was fantastic. DC are taller now so could go on almost all the good rides. Queues weren't too long (5 to 20 minutes with only two over 35 minutes). Weather was slightly sunny but not too hot nor too cold.

Tomorrow the crappy treadmill starts again but today was good.

Pretty boring DS15 has a new girlfriend and spends every waking moment at her house, only found out from her mum today he has been eating tea there every night then coming home and eating here as well! DS11 has done nothing but play on the xbox but as he usually trains 2 or 3 hours a night after school I'm letting him enjoy the down time. I have took on a voluntary role at his sports club which I was told would require about an hour or twos work a month which it will when its all caught up but its so behind I have spent all Bank Holiday weekend on it!

Had a morning of spring cleaning and an afternoon of lazing around. Fajitas and wine for tea. Not too bad cheers OP 🍷🍷

Spent every single day of it at work.

Lots of people calling in sick but then posting on FB of their nights out/weekends away.

I’m in bed now and absolutely hanging.

Double pay, though. And I’ve totally earned it.

Shit we've all got covid and it most certainly is not 'just a cold' now (which is what I keep reading). It's horrendous.
