Who's with me???? Im sooooo looking forward to the kids going back tomorrow.
This easter holiday has been horrible !! Whether this is because I've got 2 broken legs so trying to recover has almost been impossible with 2 young children, weve been stuck at home for most of the 2 weeks as also had a stomach bug and covid. The house is a tip the kids have been rude bored and just miserable and I just want to be left alone!!! I've really hated the last 2 weeks

Not surprising, OP. How on earth did you manage to get two broken legs? It gives the phrase "break a leg" a whole new meaning! Still, the weather's getting better and hopefully so are you. Roll on summer holidays? Wink

AHungryCaterpillar · 18/04/2022 11:11

That sounds tough!

Yes I can’t wait, single mum to 4. Why do the Easter holidays have to be 2 weeks 😬 one is enough

ComDummings · 18/04/2022 11:13

Sounds like a tough couple of weeks for you! Mine still have this week off, not back until next Monday.

I'm dreading it, but mine are teens so need very little input. I have to get up early again and go to work. Humph!

Watfo · 18/04/2022 11:17

I tripped over a flipping baby annabelle! There just hairline fractures but both legs are in moon boots and a wheelchair/crutches its been hardwork but I am getting stronger now

As a teacher, I can say that two weeks are necessary! It was a real fucker of a term. We all have our own struggles.

Sounds like you need the rest tomorrow though, OP! Flowers

Nidan2Sandan · 18/04/2022 11:21

I'm not, but only because it signifies the end of my annual leave and I'm back to work and early starts.

It's been a pretty relaxing time here, but I think as kids get older and more self sufficient it just makes the holidays calmer and easier. I've hardly seen my kids these holidays Grin

WhiskersPete · 18/04/2022 11:23

@BrutusMcDogface

Haha I'm a secondary teacher and I have a 3 yr old at home. I can't wait to go back tomorrow. 3 year olds are relentless.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 18/04/2022 11:27

We've had a great week (was working the other) but I am all out of inspiration and fun now. I'm seriously looking forward to a dull day in the office not hearing about noobs or Herobrine or siren heads or being plagued for snacks.

sweetbellyhigh · 18/04/2022 11:27

Poor you, I hope you get some rest and breathing space

zafferana · 18/04/2022 11:28

YANBU OP - it sounds like you've had the Easter holidays from hell. Two broken legs, a tummy bug AND Covid? Bloody hell!

I wish you peace and quiet and good health when your DC go back to school. And in the meantime, a stiff drink (but don't get pissed and fall over) Grin

BiggerBoat1 · 18/04/2022 11:29

Wow that sounds tough OP. I've loved the holidays, but I have teenagers so much easier! Just have to get them out of bed and give them an airing every now and then.

BrutusMcDogface · 18/04/2022 11:29

I have four children, including a 3 year old! 🤣 I still don’t want to go back yet. Luckily I have another week off 😉

DeadButDelicious · 18/04/2022 11:31

My DD only got a week off for Easter and it has been relentless trying to keep her busy and entertained. It's fell right when my husband is on nights so I've had to go out every day so he can get some sleep. Very ready for her to go back.

AHungryCaterpillar · 18/04/2022 12:03

I found the first week really fun and enjoyed it but the second week has just dragged, having to constantly keep them busy, spending so much money, everywhere fully booked as you have to book In advance for most things now... can’t just decide on the day.

minniep · 18/04/2022 12:44

We've had a lovely relaxing Easter holiday so far. I've actually not put myself under pressure and it's been lovely and calm. We have another week left of holidays here as ours only started last Monday

CruCru · 18/04/2022 12:57

That sounds awful. We get over a month for Easter but I can’t imagine having school holidays with two broken legs.

Crunchymum · 18/04/2022 13:04

Two broken legs must be horrendous? In every respect.

I hope you get some well deserved respite soon.

User48751490 · 18/04/2022 13:34

Two weeks has been too long
Get the flags out tomorrow morning 🙌😂🎉🎉🎉

Speedy recovery to you ❤️CakeFlowers

DS doesn't go back until the 25th. His school holidays always seem later than everywhere else.

WreckTangled · 18/04/2022 13:45

I would not cope with two broken legs! We're only half way through our Easter holidays though and I worked last week (ds in holiday club) so I'm actually really looking forward to the second week.
