Shopping / eating out in Manchester?

We’re going to a couple of concerts in Manchester next month, which are back to back, so staying two nights. Staying at a hotel near Victoria / the arena.
Where is best for shopping / eating out in the city centre? We’ve been to plenty of concerts there previously, but only staying the 1 night, so have tended to have a few drinks and pizza / pasta close by the arena (think it’s the glassworks and along that stretch??).
Seeing as we’ve got a whole day before the next concert, just wondered if there are better areas to look around?
Not after anything particularly cultural, just a few good shops / eateries etc. thanks 🙏

Spinningfields has a lot of nice places to eat & isn't far from Victoria & the arena. If you Google it you can have a look at the kinds of cuisines & budget you fancy.

Dimitri's near Deansgate station is lovely for Greek food too.

Hey Little Cupcake just off Spinningfields does a cracking afternoon tea as well.

Oh that’s a lovely idea! Thanks for that, afternoon tea never crossed my mind! Sis is just getting over covid and quite low, so that might cheer her up too!
