I'm just drinking my first cuppa, & enjoying the cool breeze that's coming through the kitchen window, and the birdsong. It looks like it'll be another beautiful day 🌞 I'm doing hot cross buns for breakfast shortly 😋

I don't think we're doing much today, apart from eating chocolate, and cooking a roast later on.

I might get out in the garden again for an hour, or I might defrost the chest freezer, or I might finish off my Rainbows and Guides prep for Tuesday evening - there's not much to do so that won't take long.

Later on, I'll order myself the second book in the Discovery of Witches series & either settle down for a few hours crocheting or with a new book and a Wine.

Oh, I almost forgot! I have a few of those fillable eggs to hide & clues for the girls to find them so I'll do that secretly later on. I'm quite good at doing things without them noticing so don't think they'll see me 🤣

All in all, a moochy, relaxing kind of day. What about all of you? :)

Good morning! We’ve started the day with a heated discussion on complicated political issues on which we disagree quite emphatically. So that was fun and bodes well for the day... Easter Hmm We don’t fight about it though and we always finish with an agreement to disagree so that’s good at least.

Just had coffee and homemade hot cross buns.

We’ve planned a picnic for lunch. I’m going to use my dinky new picnic hamper (birthday present). Easter Smile Easter Smile

I will make sandwiches: egg and cress, smoked salmon and cucumber, cheese and chutney. Also slices of pink lady apples. Elderflower sparkling water to drink, from proper glasses! Afterward we will have Earl Grey tea with lemon biscuits.

No other plans for the day...will likely have lamb steaks for dinner. But I haven’t got a meal planned so I will just wing it and come up with something when I start cooking.

I need to clean the fridge. The kitchen cupboard doors need a proper good wipe down. And I need to sweep/mop. But that will all get bumped to tomorrow! I will tackle the dining room today - dusting, tidying away a few bits of clutter, and hoovering. DH is going to touch up the iron fence at the front.

I’ll call my daughter later for a chat.

Tonight we will snuggle up into bed and finish watching The Labours of Hercules (Poirot episode).

Have a lovely day everyone! Flowers

I'm surprised to see that so many people do egg hunts. We never really did anything at all for Easter when the kids were little.

Made it out of bed, had a little tootle in the garden (still a wee bit nippy out there) and chopped the vege for tea. Hoping for a nice ling walk now.

@Nnique Your picnic sounds lovely!

We had hot cross buns and did an Easter egg hunt in the garden . Just at country park now . Been playing rounders and football and waiting for kids to go on trampoline .

I was up early with the dog, then the DC had an Easter egg hunt in the garden. They had chocolate for breakfast and DH and I had hot cross buns.

DH and I have finished weeding the front garden, which we started on Friday. DS1 has fallen off his bike and skinned both his hands but seems to be fine now he's got over the shock. His hands are a bit of a mess though.

DH has hoovered downstairs and I have washed the dining room carpet as I've been meaning to do it for a while.

Just chilling on the bed now before we get ready to go out to my parents for roast beef. Might go to the football club later as they're running an Easter egg hunt and disco.

Happy Easter everyone!

No day off here.

Batch cooking for the week. Cleaning, laundry.

DH is building stuff in the garden.

DS is in bed Sad

Bit fed up really as I'd love to have a day off the drudgery.

@Nnique your picnic sounds delightful; have a lovely time!

@Libertynan I hope you get some time to relax today, too 🌷

I'm currently trying to fix the chest freezer hinges so it doesn't knock me out every time I look in it 🙄 I know what I need to do...I'm just not quite strong enough to get a thick enough piece of plastic between washer and spring

We’re off on an alpaca walk later, followed by an afternoon at a farm park with our adoption group.

Working

Lovely to hear of everyone's days. Sorry for those with covid. Feel better soon.

We went on an impromptu swim this morning before picking DD and DGS up.
Not greatly sunny up here in Scotland but warm enough to sit out Sitting in the garden with sleeping baby on me listening to the kids all play Dobble really quietly so not to wake DGS. 🥰. Dh inside making risotto for a late lunch.
