From when you were little?

I remember her purse, she always had the same leather purse since I could remember til when she died (when I was in early 40s)

Sweets in case anyone needed a wee treat

A tissue with lipstick on it where she'd blotted her lipstick

Half a million pens

Her lucky charm

SO many receipts

Loads of other random nonsense.

Lovely thread 😁

My mum always had:

Cigarettes and lighter
Hairbrush
Coins
Address book and pen
Child benefit book (Ireland in the 90s, it was like a pension book only for collecting CB)
A million receipts
Purse (bulging with random cards, scraps of paper and more receipts)
Huge bunch of keys with loads of random keys and keyrings

Her bag always smelled faintly smokey/dusty and I used to like looking in it, but hated putting my hand to the bottom where there would be bits of dust etc that had fallen off everything else.

Fags, lighter, small bottle of Valium and a coral frosted lipstick.

Can you even still buy Fisherman's Friends? They were the most revolting tasting things! 😂

Smelling salts that expired about 20 years ago
A photo of dad
Lipstick and backup lipstick
and sadly... since she had Alzheimer's she wrote herself little notes. They made less and less sense

Bleugh Fishermans Friends, did love a Victory V though.

An embroidered cotton hanky that always smelt of lipstick and parma violets. She would lick it and rub your face with it when you had a dirty face 🤢
