Nice low cost alcoholic drinks out - inspire of me

We're having an afternoon at the pub with my BIL and family. I'd usually have three glasses of wine, but with the cost of living going up looking for other nice cheaper alternatives. Please inspire me.

It depends on the pub to what they have available. I quite like a white wine spritzer as it lasts a lot longer and is refreshing.

Cider is also good for lasting longer or a larger shandy

Often soft drinks are nearly as expensive as booze! We had two pints of Diet Coke last week and it was nearly £8!

Cranberry juice

Pint of fruit cider or crabbies fruity alcoholic ginger beer with ice is refreshing, nice and takes longer to drink than glass of wine.. so will save money by buying less drinks.

I often just have tonic water with ice and lemon at a pub.

I had a lime and soda the other day, it was 40p!

Nothing more refreshing than a larger shandy or a cider in the sunshine. I love dark fruits on tap. So nice. If we take the kids to the pub they usually have blackcurrant and soda which is usually cheap as chips.

i like non alcoholic ginger beer but it is an alcholic drink you want?
beer shandy?

It might be cheaper to buy a bottle of wine and take your time with it!

Thanks for the ideas. It's already 23c in the shade here and will be out in the sun, so something refreshing might do it!

Sounds awful but yes, it's an afternoon of drinking I want. Saturday is the only day of the week I don't work and it's rare we're both free with others to totally let our hair down.
