Should I buy a house near an old copper mine ?

I have been trying tor locate to Cornwall for sometime, demand exceeds supply and prices have increased incredibly. I have been outbid x2 and gazumped x1.
I saw a house I liked 6 months ago but it was under offer very quickly ,it has now unexpectedly come back on the market .
It seems the house is near an old dissed copper mine.The shaft is not on the property and the house sits in 4 acres.
Is this a serious risk ? What are the dangers involved.
