Hotel recommendation near Quarry Banks

My husband and I are going to Wales in June and would like to have a stop over somewhere near quarry banks to break up our drive home. I have a couple of options so far; Stanneylands and Alderley Edge hotel, each is 1.5 hour drive from where we're staying and under 30 mins from quarry banks. Both seem to have recent negative reviews though.

Has anyone stayed in either or have any other recommendations? Thank you!

Rylands Farmhouse is lovely but it’s only B&B.

Etrop Grange? Near the airport, not far from Quarry Bank
