Where are deaths in Bournemouth recorded? Can't find a relatives record.

I'm doing some family tree tracing and I have a relative who I know for sure, died in Bournemouth. However I can't find any record of the death. Are deaths there recorded elsewhere?

It wasn’t until the mid-1920s that Bournemouth got its own registration district I believe. Before that they would have been registered under Christchurch. Or maybe Poole if they lived well over to the west of the town as it is today.

Also Bournemouth (or at least parts of it) was in Hampshire until some time in the early 70s
