Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

We're just having hot cross buns for breakfast, with a cuppa. The washer's on it's second load & I've already put a load on the line. And I've already washed up the mugs from last night.

When the washing up's done, we're off up to get dressed & head out to Meadowhall for a wander. I expect both girls will come home with pj's 🙄

When we get in, I imagine the girls will vanish upstairs to watch other people play Minecraft. Tea will be a help yourself to what you fancy affair, I think.

I'll either carry on with my book, or the crochet butterfly life cycle I've been making.

What about you lot? :)

I'm still lying in bed, scrolling MN, will get up shortly to walk dogs then back to bed with a cuppa & my Cathy Kelly book. Am spending some time todsy with my DD & DGD then going to the cinema later to watch The lost city. Probably going to make lasagne for dinner & another dog walk before bed.

Morning @lucysmam, shopping coming soon then I'm in the garden, it's a beautiful day here, the sun is warm already

BakewellGin1 · 15/04/2022 08:03

Morning
Well the sun is out here so hopefully it stays. We have been out and about all week so this morning is being used to catch up on all washing and cleaning.
May fit in a walk along the sea front around lunch time and then we are going to a friends for a Bbq later.

midsomermurderess · 15/04/2022 08:03

I'm having breakfast in a hotel and afterwards will head off exploring Hadrian's Wall It's going to be a beautiful, warm day.

prettygreenteacup · 15/04/2022 08:05

Staying at my parents with DC until tomorrow, we will head out in the sunshine this morning and visit my grandfather this afternoon. Then I'm off out for drinks tonight with a friend and taking advantage of parents babysitting 👌

SlowlyBlossoming · 15/04/2022 08:11

Morning! Sounds like you have a lovely day planned Easter Smile

We're going to get a few last bits packed and then head off to the coast for a 5 day break in my parents' caravan! I've packed my adult colouring books and pens, my running kit and downloaded some good Netflix documentaries so it should be a relaxing break!

Hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend Easter Smile

FindMeInTheSunshine · 15/04/2022 08:15

Can I join? Lazy morning reading Mumsnet/Instagram in bed, then reading my book. Later this morning a quiet Good Friday service at church. Gardening this afternoon - hoping the blue skies stay all day - then hot cross buns for tea. Have a good weekend everyone.

wtfisgoingonhere21 · 15/04/2022 08:23

Taking dmum out for brekkie this morning on our own with no little followers in tow which will be lovely.

Got some planting to do and just generally chill around at home with dogs and tween before an early night for work tomorrow.

TitoMojito · 15/04/2022 08:37

Also working Sad

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/04/2022 08:45

Some.lovely days planned here.

DP is working, so it's just me. I'm going to take myself out for a coffee and a visit to a small, niche museum which I couldn't persuade anybody else to visit! A mooch around the shops and then home.

Going to make a sort of Greek tea, with roasted garlic potatoes, feta pie, salad, tsatziki.

Possibly out for a drink after tea, or possibly just staying in with a film.

Angelik · 15/04/2022 08:48

@lucysmam sounds lovely. As do others. Make most of it everyone. I am sat in hospital with broken leg after being hit by car yesterday!

MegaClutterSlut · 15/04/2022 08:48

Had breakfast, done 1 load of washing, put it on the line, 2nd load in. When that finishes it will be time for me to go to work Sad

Good morning 🙂 up until a few years ago my company never had time off for Easter but we were taken over by an English company and we now get it. As an added bonus dh has very recently started a new job and he gets Easter for the first time ever. So a rare treat that we get it together. I'm in Scotland and in my county the schools are back on Monday so will get some quality time with dh minus the child 😀

Today I'm just about to head for the food shopping then this afternoon we are heading to a street funfair which has been off for the last two years so ds is excited about that. I've heard its very expensive and even hook the duck is a fiver!

Sweet n sour chicken for tea ( homemade ) couple of glasses of wine and a film tonight. Enjoy everyone!

Deathraystare · 15/04/2022 10:11

Working as I usually do on holidays like Christmas and Easter. Also somehow have to fit in the launderette.....

MrsBooks · 15/04/2022 10:53

Im still in bed! I’ve had my breakfast and am on my second coffee binging Australian MAFS. Perks of the kids being older means they like a lay in too!
Need to get up shortly and wash the bedding and get that out on the line. It’s a beautiful day!

I think DS1 is ditching us to go to the skate park with his mates so me and DS2 will have a chill day in, he might come with me to walk the dog.

I need to catch up on some housework if I can be bothered. If not I’ll be out in the garden with my Kindle.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 15/04/2022 11:21

Morning @lucysmam I had a panic then thinking it was a Saturday as I always look for this thread on a Saturday 😂

We've just been out for breakfast at a local farm and a wander around the farm, picked up a few nice bits from the deli there aswell.

Family church service 1-3. Very relaxed, it's a picnic on the church lawn followed by crafts.and the church is open if people want for reflection and there's a short service just before 3pm.

We will walk home after that and probably have a little rest before dinner. Fish pie as it's good Friday!

Games night with our older ones tonight when little ones asleep

I'm sat in meadowhall in cafe Nero, meant to be doing some shopping today but haven't got the will in the end! Primark looks evil already.

Alwayspaintyournails · 15/04/2022 11:30

I have had a lovely manicure and pedicure this morning and now grabbing a quick coffee before I collect DD from her sleepover at noon.

Afternoon tea with friends and their DC booked for later then a wander along the banks of Loch Lomond. DH driving so I plan to nap after a few glasses of fizz when we get home Easter Smile

Dbro due to arrive for Easter weekend late tonight.

EsmeeMerlin · 15/04/2022 11:38

DH has just left for work and his parents will be arriving in half an hour to visit us in our new home. Going to make lunch and then perhaps take a walk on the seafront. Fish and chips for dinner later.

MrsTimRiggins · 15/04/2022 11:40

Loving how chilled out your day sounds!

Currently enjoying a caramel latte and a hot cross bun with the dog curled up on my feet while my son naps. We’ve both had covid, and while I’m pretty much back to normal he’s still not quite there. His temperature has finally come down but he’s still coughing for England. He’s only five months so it’s been very trying for us all, poor little soul. DH is at work, and will be all weekend but I’m hoping, probably vainly, he may finish before baby’s bedtime at some point over the next few days.
The washing machine is on, second load of the day, and the dishwasher is running. I ought run the hoover around but I can’t really be bothered!

Alfiemoon1 · 15/04/2022 11:40

Not a lot I have tested positive for covid ds is working dh is away dog sitting and ddog has torn his cruiciate ligament and was operated on last week so can’t be walked. It’s a nice day so I’ve put the washing out and might do some gardening
