I had a ureteral stent put in Wednesday and I'm miserable now

Hi, has anyone got any tips for the pain? I had a uretoscopy, a cystoscopy and a stent put in on Wednesday afternoon. I have a big kidney stone in the right side of my kidney that causes issues sometimes, but they couldn't fully do the whole operation because I have too much scar tissue and it's made my ureter too narrow, so I have the stent in and it's causing me so much pain. I can hardly breathe, I have anti spasmodic medication, codeine and paracetamol but i feel sick with the pain

I had the same thing a few years back , I ended up have 3 stent changes and it finally removed after 4 months .

It was worse when I walked , I was regularly peeing out clots of blood , peeing whilst in the shower seemed to help a little but nothing can take away the pain of your bladder contracting after you have finished .

I was on oramorph for the first few weeks and whilst the pain didn't ever go away it did ease off so co-codamol was sufficient after a while .

You have my upmost sympathy, it's horrible

Yes, they're going to laser it. I'm in so much pain I can't sleep, I can't eat and I feel sick 😢

You poor thing, I had a cystoscopy, just before Christmas, I was in a lot of pain, for three days afterwards. Can you speak to someone for advice, GP, or at the hospital. Just in case you have developed an infection perhaps. Do you have a temperature? I hope you feel better soon. Gentle hugs
