What to wear to the office?

We are finally going back into the office one day a week and I genuinely don't know what to wear . I feel shops don't sell as much work wear as they used to. I got this job during the pandemic and before this had always worked somewhere were uniform was supplied.
Also I work part time and really don't want to be spending a fortune.

It'd depend on the dress code I guess, but black Trousers, smartish plain coloured button up top. Comfortable shoes.

What is the dress code?

I'm sure tights/legggings, a plainish dress and some boots/dolly shoes is fine.

Don't stress. Just buy a couple of outfts, don't spend a lot and see what other people are wearing.

Totally depends on your office and style.

I wear all the following

Shell top, unstructured jacket, cigarette trousers and flats (brogues/slingbacks)

Polar neck jumper, slim trousers, brogues.

T-shirt, long cardigan, straight leg trousers, flats.

All in neutrals, so light grey, beige, fawn, white, black, navy, cream, toffee.

I shop from COS, Other Stories, Theory, M&S, Massimo Dutti, etc..

Our dress policy is smart casual or business wear if client facing.
