What has been your favourite family holiday? It's hard making sure that there is something for everybody when you have a Family consisting of younger ones and teenagers but I'm sure there's something out there!!!

Self catering Carcassonne area of France.

The city itself
River boat
Kayaking on the Aude river
Donkey rides
Swimming in lakes and rivers
Waterpark
Castles coming out of our ears
Flea markets with pocket money
Fantastic walk around a natural stone labyrinth
Open air mini trains
Dinosaur museum
Amazing caves

Plus all that lovely cheese and wine!

You can spend as much or as little as you want. Carcassonne is free, a few special buildings or walking around the walls are extra, but unnecessary as the city itself is fantastic. We only paid for parking (€8 for 6 hours) for a lovely day out.

The best family holiday we ever has was 2 nights in Miami, 7 night cruise including stops in Mexico and Honduras, 4 nights in the Florida Keys and 3 nights in New York (flights were much cheaper this way). It was amazing! Kids were 16, 15 and 12 at the time.

Skiing for us. DC loved their time at ski school peers, we would meet them fir lunch every day and then play together on the nursery slopes in the afternoon having races and them showing off what they'd learned. DH and I got some much needed quality time together when they were in ski school.

If that's not your thing, we loved Eurocamp in Northern France. Close to Pierrefomds Château (from Merlin), Soissons, Compiègne and Paris. We did a day trip to Disney one year. Fantastic pool on site, man made beach and lagoon, with a bar with decking right on the beach so you can relax whilst they paddle/swim and play in the sand. That lagoon is popular with both teens and younger ones.

Best family holidays for us; a villa in Florida. We go as a big group, and we rarely do to the theme parks, but they are there for those who want. But we travel around the wider area to; beaches (gulf coast is as good as the Caribbean and the Atlantic is still decent), state parks for hiking/riding, access to some great cities (Savannah, Charlotte, Miami, Naples, even Atlanta and New Orleans... We always do a mini trip), great shopping, great weather, great food. Everyone is happy.

3 years ago we went to Greece for a week via Sunvil. We had a villa that was 3 steps from the sea and had a pool. It was part of a complex so I think 4 villas with a joint pool. It was 7 days and cost for 3 of us £1700 including flights. we mainly relaxed and ate out and just chilled. It was amazing.

I had teens and younger ones at the same time and Mark Warner holidays worked really well. We all enjoyed all the activities.
I think my favourite holiday was a Disney cruise around the Med, everything was so good, the sightseeing, the ship, entertainment and food, the adult only pool was superb.
