Dental implant has just fallen out

I’ve just woken up, felt something in my mouth and spat out my dental implant. I’ve phoned my dentist but the don’t open until 9 and the implant specialist guy only comes once a month anyway.

From what I can find out on Google it looks like it’s the tooth and the abutment that has come out so the screw must still be in place. It also says that the gum will close over in a matter of hours so not sure what I’m supposed to do. I’ve given my teeth and gums a good scrub and put the implant in some corsodyl and then put it back in. The whole is still there but it won’t join onto the screw so it’s just sort of hanging loosely in my gum. It will stay in place unless I fiddle with it/ try to eat though.

Any advice on what I should do? I really don’t want it to close up as it’s one of my top front teeth and looks absolutely awful with a gap there. I don’t want to get any infection in it either though ☹️

A normal dentist should be able to reattach it

Call your emergency dental number and ask for advice? They usually open at 8am. Then call your dentist at 9am. They will be able to sort you out I'm sure.
